DB-9M connector
The ELK-LP7107 Low Profile PCI serial interface provides one serial port configurable for RS-422 or RS-485 and is capable of data rates to 921.6K bps. The ELK-LP7107 utilizes an Oxford 16C950 UART to provide 128-byte Tx/Rx FIFOs, for maximum reliability in data intensive applications, and supports 9-bit protocols and isochronous mode. The software utilities make installation and operation easy. The ELK-LP7107 includes an onboard connector that routes power from the host internal supply through the DB-9M connector on pin 9. This allows easy connection of +5VDC or +12VDC to peripherals including RS-485 ELK-EDIO modules, RS-422 and RS-485 POS (Point of Sale) systems, or other real world devices.
The ELK-LP7107-KT and ELK-LP7107S-KT include:
1)ELK-LP7107 Low Profile PCI serial interface board with one serial port configurable for RS-422 or RS-485, and an onboard connector that routes power from the host internal supply through pin 9 on the DB-9M connector.
2)ELK-DB112 DB9F to RJ45 modular adapter that provides RS-485 and power lines compatible with SeaI/O M-series modules. 3)ELK-CA247 10' CAT5 patch cable for attaching SeaI/O modules to the host computer.
