Sure, many users are satisfied with the limited number of PCI slots that are available in most computers. However, there are numerous performance and functionality hungry professionals, like you, in many industries that simply need more PCI slots than a typical computer provides. Even with the introduction of more robust desktop computers and servers, the need for increased functionality of high-bandwidth applications has still not been satisfied. If you have a powerful application that requires the use of several PCI cards, increase the number of PCI slots in your system with a ASAN ST PCI Expansion System.
ASAN ST's 4 Slot 32-bit/33MHz PCI-to-PCI Expansion System accommodates four full-length 32-bit or 64-bit PCI cards in a separate enclosure (chassis) that connects to a host desktop or server through an available PCI slot. With ASAN ST's PCI Expansion Technology, everything installed in the enclosure actually acts as if it's inside the host computer. This is accomplished by the chassis communicating to the host via a 1 or 1.5 meter cable and a short 'universal' PCI host card providing up to a 132MB/second data transfer rate between the host computer and the hardware within the chassis.
In addition, the 4 Slot PCI Expansion System includes brackets to mount additional SCSI or IDE disk drives inside the chassis, eliminating the need add another external storage enclosure. A total of four standard 3.5" x 1" disk drives can be mounted inside the enclosure.
For example, you can mount any of the following inside the enclosure:
■ (4) 160GB ATA drives = 640GB of extra IDE storage
■ (4) 73GB SCSI drives = almost 300GB of extra SCSI storage
■ (1) 5.25" removablable drive plus (2) internal SCSI or IDE drives |
