| The CompactFlash Adapter provides a low cost, rugged, and flexible means to add a socket for CompactFlash removable-media solid state disk(SSD) cards to systems based on ASAN ST embedded-PCs. CompactFlash cards have a system interface that is electrically and functionally identical to that of normal(magnetic media) IDE hard disk drives, with the result that they are fully supported by all operating systems and application programs. For maximum system configuration fleaxibility, the CompactFlash Adapter is offered in having a 40-pin, 2.54mm & a 44-pin, 2mm IDE connectors for direct cabling to an ASAN ST embedded PC IDE interface. Any convenient cable length, up to 18 inches, may be used between the adapter and the embedded-PC module. The CompactFlash Adapter's four mounting holes support rigid attached to an embedded system's board or chassis. Additionally, a special retaining clip can be used to securely lock the CompactFlash card into its socket.
