| The ELK-PSD-PER is a powerful yet easy to use diagnostic utility that allows you to quickly and accurately troubleshoot failures in a PC's major components. The ELK-PSD-PER is a test tool for small office or home use for quick system troubleshooting. It is ideal for determining a course of action to take in resolving a problem. For example, you may have a simple hardware problem that can be repaired without calling a professional technician or taking your system in to your local shop. You can save yourself a lot of money in unnecessary repair cost and reduce system down time. The ELK-PSD-PER is ASAN ST's introductory level diagnostic package. This package is packed with our professional level testing routines. One of our software diagnostics many advantages is that it is self-booting. To run the software, simply insert the ELK-PSD-PER diskette and turn on the computer. The program loads itself before any operating system (e.g., DOS, WIN 9x/ME/2000/XP etc.) is loaded. Thus, ELK-PSD-PER's tests are conducted without the interference of an operating system or any other programs (TSRs) that may be loaded into memory during the boot sequence (such as expanded/extended memory device drivers, network drivers, various operating system commands, etc.). Once the program is loaded, you can run a quick system inventory. The ELK-PSD-PER provides quick and accurate diagnostics for your system's motherboard, processor, memory, hard drives, floppy drives, IDE devices, keyboard, monitor and more. The package is designed for quick operation. Once the software is loaded, tests can be run from a pull down menu or run unattended using our automated Burn-In mode. Unlike our Professional package, ELK-PSD-PER provides a single screen for system inventory and simple scripting. It does not have all of the features that are built into ELK-PSD-PRO such as file saving results capability, network testing, and SCSI support. Unlike other end user software utilities, ELK-PSD-PER is a true diagnostic package. When running ELK-PSD-PER, you will be able to perform a quality level of testing for your system hardware. QT is not a performance measurement package or an optimization utility. It is a hardware testing package that will run your system hardware through vigorous routines to detect failing components.
